On April 23, China Investment Insurance issued a statement saying: "Recently, our company has received reports that some lawbreakers have been impersonating our company, claiming that we are cooperating with 'Nippon Life India Asset Management Pte. Ltd.' or 'NAMS' and providing underwriting for financial investment products related to them. Another organization has been impersonating our subsidiary China Investment Insurance Technology Financing Guarantee Co., Ltd., displaying a so-called 'financial license' issued by financial regulatory authorities, misleading the public. Our company strongly condemns the above illegal activities and reserves the right to take all measures to pursue their legal responsibilities."
