The provincial environmental monitoring agency conducted sampling and monitoring of 17 irrigation wells in the surrounding areas of Duanjiazhuang Village, Huangzhuang Village, and Xiliuqing Village. According to the "Standards for Irrigation Water Quality in Farmland," 8 irrigation wells met the water quality standards while 9 exceeded the standards, mainly due to chemical oxygen demand and chlorides. Among them, the chemical oxygen demand in the implicated irrigation wells exceeded the standard by 5.5 times, and chlorides exceeded the standard by 3.2 times. All heavy metal factors in the 17 irrigation wells met the standards. Regarding the red color of the irrigation well water, based on the monitoring results, experts have preliminarily identified it to be related to dyes. To further clarify the specific substances causing the water to turn red, the national authoritative monitoring agency has developed targeted monitoring methods, taken samples, and is currently conducting monitoring and analysis.
