According to the American Military Magazine reported on the 20th, the joint development project of the next-generation fighter aircraft "Future Combat Air System" by France and Germany is facing a crisis of collapse. According to the German newspaper "Handelsblatt," the project has stalled due to a dispute over control between the French company Dassault Aviation and the Airbus company representing Germany and Spain in the project. Although German Chancellor Merkel has stated that he is doing everything possible to save the FCAS project and has appointed two mediators to overcome differences, the mediators have been unable to resolve the dispute between the companies involved in the French-German FCAS fighter project. German mediators have assessed that joint development of a fighter aircraft with France is no longer feasible.
