Refusal of American-made "Patriot" system, Denmark opts for European-made new generation air defense system.

On the 21st local time, the French group Thales announced that it has signed a contract with Denmark to deploy the SAMP/T NG air defense system in Denmark. Delivery is expected to begin in 2028. This is the first export contract for SAMP/T NG in Europe. The full name of the system is "Next Generation Surface-to-Air Missile System", which is a competitor to the famous American "Patriot" air defense system.
