Fifteen departments propose eighteen measures to deepen the construction of a city that focuses on the development of young people.

Today, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, and 15 other departments jointly issued the "Opinions on Deepening the Construction of Youth Development Cities to Help Build Modern People-Oriented Cities". The "Opinions" focus on promoting the construction of youth development cities to stimulate the overall work of the central government, inspire youth creativity and vitality, enhance urban innovation capabilities, improve youth living standards, renew urban livable spaces, encourage youth to take the lead in action, support green urban development, guide youth to aspire for the better, shape the humanistic qualities of the city, support youth to participate in an orderly manner, and improve urban governance. A total of 18 measures are proposed. The construction of youth development cities is a specific practice of the concept of people-oriented cities. It is necessary to comprehensively integrate the promotion of youth development into the entire process and all fields of city work, optimize the development environment for youth to "enter, stay, live, and succeed", coordinate young people's policies in urban planning, construction, and governance, organically align with youth needs in urban production, living, and ecology, and fully leverage the role of youth in urban reform, development, and stability.
