Open collection of clues on illegal use of medical insurance funds is underway nationwide, with a maximum reward of 200,000 yuan.

Recently, in order to deepen the management of medical insurance funds and address prominent issues, various medical insurance departments across the country have successively issued announcements to openly solicit clues of illegal and irregular use of medical insurance funds from the entire society, accepting public reports and supervision. Verified reports will be rewarded according to regulations, with a maximum reward of 200,000 yuan. The "Notice on the Issuance of the General Office of the State Medical Insurance Bureau and the General Office of the Ministry of Finance" explicitly states that whistleblowers who meet the reward conditions will be given a one-time financial reward based on a certain percentage of the case value, up to a maximum of 200,000 yuan and a minimum of 200 yuan. Currently, all 31 provinces and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps have established a reporting reward system, with a total of 1.558 million yuan in rewards issued nationwide in 2025. Active participation of the masses in the supervision of medical insurance funds is conducive to creating a good atmosphere of social governance and sharing in fund management. It is welcomed for the general public and various sectors of society to actively participate in the supervision of the use and management of medical insurance funds, truthfully reporting suspected fraud and violations, collectively building a safety barrier for medical insurance funds, and safeguarding the people's own "medical money" and "life-saving money."
