Concept stocks in the US stock market related to optical communications performed well at the beginning of trading. POET Technologies surged more than 17%, Astera Labs rose over 7%, Coherent and Applied Optoelectronics both climbed more than 4%, while Lumentum and Corning rose nearly 3%.
