The largest parliamentary bloc in Iraq has not reached a consensus on the nomination of a prime minister candidate.
According to the report from the Iraqi News Agency on the evening of the 20th, the largest party in the new Iraqi National Assembly, the "Coordinating Framework Alliance", held a meeting to nominate candidates for the position of Prime Minister, but consensus was not reached. The report quoted the Secretary-General of the "Coordinating Framework Alliance", Abbas Amiri, as saying that the meeting held that day had a full discussion on the candidates for Prime Minister, but more time was needed for the nomination. Amiri also stated that the "Coordinating Framework Alliance" decided to continue the meeting on the 21st and strive to reach a decision by the 22nd.
