Fujian Province comprehensively promotes the electrification of fishing boats.

Building on the forefront of the national pilot demonstration of electric ships in the early stage, Fujian Province is actively planning a new blueprint for the development of electrification in fishing vessels. Recently, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Provincial Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries held a special consultation meeting, established a special task force, and clearly defined key tasks such as focusing on technological breakthroughs, expanding application scenarios, building intelligent supervision, accelerating standard construction, strengthening policy coordination, innovating financial support, and solidifying local responsibilities. This marks the transition of the electrification of fishing vessels in Fujian from pilot exploration into a new stage of comprehensive breakthrough. By focusing on technological breakthroughs and overcoming core bottlenecks, the future will focus on industry pain points such as short cruising range and low charging efficiency, encouraging shipbuilding, battery production, and research institutions to form innovative alliances and carry out collaborative research to drive cost reductions and performance improvements through technological innovation.
