In the first quarter, Jiangsu Province's foreign trade import and export increased by 17.2% year-on-year.
According to statistics from the Nanjing Customs, in the first quarter of this year, Jiangsu Province's foreign trade achieved a "steady start to the year" with a total import and export volume of 1.59 trillion yuan, an increase of 17.2% compared to the same period last year. This growth rate is 2.2 percentage points higher than the national average, accounting for 13.4% of China's total import and export value during the same period.
Of this total, exports were 1.04 trillion yuan, an increase of 14.6%; imports were 552.78 billion yuan, an increase of 22.5%. In the first quarter, Jiangsu Province's export of machinery and electronic products reached 763.28 billion yuan, an increase of 22.1%, driving the overall export growth of the province by 15.3 percentage points.
Among them, exports of computers and their components, electrical equipment, and ships were 77.65 billion yuan, 65.47 billion yuan, and 33.64 billion yuan respectively, with growth rates of 36.2%, 25.4%, and 27.3% respectively; exports of "new three samples" products reached 49.95 billion yuan, an increase of 26.5%.
