In the first quarter, the GDP of Gansu Province increased by 5.9% year-on-year.

The Gansu Provincial Bureau of Statistics announced the economic performance of Gansu in the first quarter of 2026. According to the unified accounting results, the regional GDP of Gansu in the first quarter was 3344.7 billion yuan, calculated at constant prices, a year-on-year increase of 5.9%. Specifically, the value added of the primary industry was 222.4 billion yuan, an increase of 6.8%; the value added of the secondary industry was 1124.7 billion yuan, an increase of 7.9%; and the value added of the tertiary industry was 1997.7 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7%.
