As of the closing of the day, the price of light crude oil futures for delivery in May on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by $5.76 to close at $89.61 per barrel, an increase of 6.87%; while the price of Brent crude oil futures for delivery in June on the London Brent Oil Exchange rose by $5.10 to close at $95.48 per barrel, an increase of 5.64%.
