Shooting incident near pyramids in Mexico City results in casualties

On April 20th, local time, the Mexican security department reported that a shooting incident occurred at the Teotihuacan Pyramid area near the capital city of Mexico City, resulting in the death of a Canadian woman and injuring three others. The shooter committed suicide after opening fire. Following the incident, local emergency response mechanisms were quickly activated. Mexican President Lpez Obrador stated that he has instructed the security department to conduct an investigation, and personnel from the local government, interior ministry, and ministry of culture have been deployed to the scene to carry out work. Lpez Obrador also stated that efforts are being made to contact the Canadian embassy regarding the shooting incident.
