German energy group SEFE has proposed a capital increase of up to $23.5 billion. The company hopes to start the privatization process with this, and according to regulations, the Berlin authorities must reduce their shareholding to a minority with veto power by the end of 2028. SEFE stated that if the capital increase plan is approved, it could be implemented within the next 9-12 months. The company has submitted a proposal of 15-20 billion for the capital increase to the German Ministry of Economy, which is responsible for overseeing government holdings, and negotiations are currently underway.
