Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs: the qualification rate of routine monitoring of agricultural product quality and safety in China in the first quarter was 98.5%.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the qualification rate of routine monitoring of agricultural product quality and safety in China from January to March this year was 98.5%. In the sampling, 7517 samples of 125 varieties from 4 categories including vegetables, fruits, livestock and poultry products, and aquatic products were tested for 132 parameters. The qualification rates for vegetables, fruits, livestock and poultry products, and aquatic products were 98.8%, 96.2%, 99.3%, and 97.7% respectively. In response to the problems found in routine monitoring, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has promptly transferred information on non-qualified samples to local agricultural departments for proper handling in accordance with the mechanism of reporting and transferring.
