Zhang Ruizhong, general manager of China Aluminum Industry, stated at the performance briefing for the year 2025 held this afternoon that the price of electrolytic aluminum has been rising this year, mainly driven by factors such as global supply constraints, energy cost support, and the widening gap between overseas supply and demand. The current high inventory levels are temporary, and as downstream demand enters the peak season in the second quarter, inventory levels will gradually enter a destocking phase. Industry data shows that in recent period, domestic electrolytic aluminum social inventory is at a five-year high.
