"Alleged contamination by rat poison" Several countries remove internationally renowned baby food products from shelves.
On April 19th local time, a well-known European baby food manufacturer, HiPP, announced that baby food cans of the brand suspected to be contaminated with rodenticides were found in Czech Republic and Slovakia. The company stated that "during the investigation, it was confirmed that these foods had been tampered with." HiPP stated that as a precautionary measure, retailers in both countries have removed all baby food cans of this brand from their shelves. The Czech Republic's health monitoring system posted on social media: "The health department is working closely with other agencies to monitor the situation. Please remain vigilant." If anyone suspects they have purchased contaminated food, they should contact their local health monitoring agency.
