China Telecom has completed the industry's first 5G-A eRedCap (inter network interconnection) commercial verification.

China Telecom, together with its industry chain partners, successfully completed the industry's first 5G-A ultra-lightweight end-to-end connectivity commercial verification, achieving adaptation testing for MobileAI services for the first time in China. eRedCap, as a core feature of the 3GPP R18 standard, optimized power consumption and costs based on RedCap, targeting the special requirements of speed and cost considerations in low-speed IoT scenarios such as smart wearables, low-cost AI terminals, industrial sensors, and smart energy.
