According to the latest survey data from the UK's Office for National Statistics, nearly three in ten young people in the UK now choose to live with their parents, with economic pressure being a key driving factor for "boomerang" living arrangements. ONS data shows that in 2000, only 26% of young men aged 20-35 chose to live with their parents, but by 2025, this had increased to 35%. The same trend is also seen among young women, with the proportion choosing to live with their parents still lower than men but showing a significant increase. By 2025, 22% of women aged 20-35 chose to live with their parents.
