According to a report from the American New York Post on the 19th, President Trump said in an interview with the newspaper that same day that the US President's special envoy, Stephen Biegun, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, will be traveling to Pakistan for negotiations with Iran. Trump said that Biegun will arrive in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad on the evening of the 20th, and Kushner will also participate in the US-Iran negotiations scheduled for the 21st. The report stated that US Vice President Pence will not be participating in this round of negotiations. In the previous round of US-Iran negotiations, the US delegation was led by Pence. However, the American Broadcasting Company reported on the same day, citing the words of the US Ambassador to the United Nations, that Pence will also lead a US delegation to Pakistan for negotiations with Iran. Currently, the US has not officially announced the members of the US delegation. Earlier on the 19th, Trump said that the US delegation will arrive in Islamabad on the evening of the 20th to participate in the negotiations.
