Bulgaria holds early parliamentary elections

On April 19, local time, Bulgaria held early parliamentary elections. A total of 4785 candidates from 14 political parties and 10 political party alliances, as well as 1 independent candidate, competed for the 240 seats in parliament. There were a total of 11,995 polling stations set up across the country, as well as 493 overseas voting stations. Voting started at 7:00 AM local time and ended at 8:00 PM. If there are still people waiting outside polling stations at 8:00 PM, voting may be extended until 9:00 PM.
