Strong convection weather blue warning: There will be thunderstorms, strong winds or hail in some areas of North China, Huanghuai and Southwest China.

The China Meteorological Administration issued a blue alert for severe convective weather at 18:00 on April 18th, predicting that from 20:00 on April 18th to 20:00 on April 19th, some areas in Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Inner Mongolia, the southern part of North China, the central and western part of the Yellow River basin, the eastern and southern parts of the Southwest, and the western part of South China will experience thunderstorms with wind speeds of level 8 or above, or hail. Some areas in the southern part of Hebei, the middle and northern parts of Henan, the western part of Shandong, the southeastern part of Sichuan, the central and western parts of Chongqing, and the northwest part of Guizhou may have thunderstorms with wind speeds of level 10 or above, with maximum wind speeds exceeding level 11. Some areas in the central and western parts of the Yellow River basin, the eastern and southern parts of the Southwest, and the western part of South China will experience short-term heavy rainfall, with hourly rainfall exceeding 20mm, and some areas in the central and western parts of Chongqing and the northwest part of Guizhou may receive hourly rainfall exceeding 50mm, with the highest reaching over 60mm. It is expected that the main impact period of severe convective weather will be during the daytime tomorrow.
