Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Greg Abel, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, has sold stocks previously managed by Todd Combs, one of Warren Buffett's former investment managers. This move occurred after Combs left Berkshire in December last year to join JPMorgan Chase, and also marks one of the most clear adjustments to the Berkshire investment portfolio since Abel took over as CEO. Abel took over as CEO in January this year, succeeding Buffett, who remains chairman. The sources cited by the report said that Abel is unlikely to hire anyone else to assist in managing the investment portfolio. It is widely believed that large investments such as Apple were typically decided by Buffett, but are now being managed by Abel. Berkshire is expected to disclose more details about its holdings in the quarterly report on May 2nd and in regulatory filings in mid-May.
