The US Department of Energy said on Friday that it had loaned 26.03 million barrels of crude oil from the strategic oil reserves to nine oil companies. This is the third batch of loans made by the Trump administration to help curb the soaring fuel prices since the US escalated tensions with Iran. According to a statement from the Department of Energy, companies that received the SPR loans include BP North America, ExxonMobil, and Marathon Oil.
