Closing Review: the ChiNext Index opened high and rose by 3.17%, hitting a new high in nearly 11 years. The computing power leasing sector surged across the board.
The three major indexes of A-shares all rose collectively today. As of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.7%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 2.05%, the ChiNext Index rose by 3.17%, and the BeiGene 50 Index rose by 1.34%. The total market turnover was 2.355 trillion yuan, a decrease of 74.5 billion yuan from the previous day. Over 4200 stocks in the entire market rose. In terms of sector themes, the cryptocurrency leasing, energy metals, cloud gaming, titanium dioxide, minor metals, dyes, batteries, chemical fibers, and steel sectors performed well. On the other hand, oil and gas exploration and services, banks, innovative pharmaceuticals, and pork sectors performed poorly.
On the market, leading lithium battery company CATL's strong first-quarter performance drove related sectors higher, with its total market value exceeding 2 trillion yuan to reach a new historical high. Longpan Technology, Santai Shares, and DehSing Technology all hit the limit up. The spot leasing price of NVIDIA's entire GPU series rose significantly, leading to the strength of the cryptocurrency leasing concept. Hongjing Technology, Jinji Shares, and Pin Gao Shares all hit a 20cm limit up, while Megvii, Zhen Yitong, and Te Fa Information were among more than 10 stocks that followed suit. The minor metals sector also performed well, with Xiamen Tungsten Industry and Chinatungsten Hi-Tech both hitting the limit up.
Furthermore, the gaming, steel, and titanium dioxide sectors also saw rises during the trading day. However, the previously rising innovative pharmaceutical sector saw some partial adjustments, with Xinnengtai hitting the limit down and Guangshengtang and Shutai Shen following the decline. The pork stocks also experienced some retracements, with Tianbang Food leading the decline in the sector.
