Report: With oil prices stable, US Treasury bond yields have slightly decreased.
During the Asian trading session, US Treasury yields edged slightly lower, while oil prices remained stable as investors hoped for an extension of the ceasefire in the Middle East and ongoing peace talks. Elias Haddad of Brown Brothers Harriman said in a report, "The hope of resolving the US-Iran conflict through diplomatic means continues to support the recovery in financial market sentiment." The global market strategist added, "For the markets, the key issue is not the duration of the war, but whether the two countries can reach an agreement that no longer impedes ships from freely sailing through the Strait of Hormuz." Data from Tradeweb showed that the two-year US Treasury yield fell by 1.7 basis points to 3.747% and the 10-year US Treasury yield fell by 0.7 basis points to 4.271%.
