Zheng Zhijie and his delegation visited the experimental platforms for new types of converters, power cables, hydrogen energy, carbon capture, etc., and had a detailed understanding of the progress of key core technologies such as new grid core equipment, large-scale models in the power industry, etc. They discussed issues related to the future direction of energy development, key technological breakthroughs, achieving the dual carbon targets as scheduled, and large-scale development and integration of new energy sources with experts. Zheng Zhijie stated that in the face of complex and changing external situations, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, China's energy security has been effectively ensured, demonstrating strong resilience. He emphasized the need to adhere to a systematic concept, enhance bottom-line thinking, and solidly promote high-quality energy development. It is necessary to base on the present, plan for the future, effectively ensure energy supply security, vigorously promote reliable and orderly substitution of oil and gas consumption, and actively plan for the future direction of energy development. It is necessary to actively promote carbon peaking in the energy field, plan systematically for carbon reduction paths in the energy field, accelerate the construction of a new energy system, and coordinate the promotion of green and low-carbon transformation of energy. It is necessary to focus on solving the difficulties in the development of new energy, strengthen top-level design and technological empowerment, comprehensively improve the quality and efficiency of the new power system, and effectively increase the level of new energy integration.
