The Russian Ministry of Energy stated that Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif discussed issues related to energy exploration, extraction, and storage at a working meeting. The message said, "The two sides discussed issues related to energy exploration, extraction, and storage." The Russian Ministry of Energy pointed out that the core topic of the talks was to expand the possibility of exporting Russian oil, petroleum products, and liquefied natural gas to Indonesia. According to the Indonesian state-owned oil company, their refineries are capable of processing Russian crude oil.
