Wei Tao conducted research in Haikou City, Hainan Province, to accurately position and amplify advantages, and promote the improvement and upgrade of cooperation between Guangxi and Hainan provinces.

After attending the opening ceremony and related activities of the 6th China International Consumer Goods Expo, on April 14, Wei Tao, Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, led a team to conduct research in Haikou City, Hainan Province, to learn about the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, industrial park reform, port hub operation and other advanced experiences, and to study further deepening cooperation between Guangxi and Hainan, jointly building the Hainan Free Trade Port and creating a frontier highland for open cooperation with ASEAN. At the end of last year, the Hainan Free Trade Port officially started operation. Wei Tao and his team visited the Hainan Provincial Museum to systematically understand the achievements of Hainan's comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up and the construction of a Chinese characteristic free trade port, and discuss how the policy dividends of "zero tariffs, low tax rates, and simple tax system" can be transformed into industrial effectiveness.
