On April 14, 2026, the National Smart Manufacturing Standardization Overall Group and Expert Consultation Group held a meeting in Beijing. Xin Guobin, member of the Party Group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Vice Minister, and Deng Zhiyong, member of the Party Group of the State Administration for Market Regulation and Deputy Director, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Xin Guobin pointed out that in recent years, China has focused on smart manufacturing and coordinated efforts in application deepening, industry cultivation, and standard system improvement. The level of intelligent manufacturing in the manufacturing industry has significantly improved, providing strong support for building a manufacturing power. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, it is necessary to thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, take smart manufacturing standardization work as an important support, and accelerate the development of a new generation of smart manufacturing. It is necessary to improve the organizational system, optimize the top-level design of standards, accelerate the refinement of the architecture and standard system of the new generation of smart manufacturing systems; to strengthen project traction, optimize the structure of standard supply, and promote the collaborative research and development of standards and equipment systems; to highlight application orientation, rely on the gradient cultivation of smart factories and other work, promote the large-scale application of standards; deepen international cooperation, expand multiple bilateral cooperation mechanisms, and continuously enhance international discourse power and influence. The meeting announced the list of members of the new National Smart Manufacturing Standardization Coordinating Promotion Group, Overall Group, and Expert Consultation Group, and issued letters of appointment to the members of the Expert Consultation Group. Over 150 people, including members of the coordinating promotion group from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Market Supervision Administration, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, representatives of the overall group, and expert consultation group attended the meeting.
