Hainan Provincial Government and Jiangsu Provincial Government sign a memorandum of strategic cooperation in the commercial aerospace field.

On April 13, the governments of Hainan Province and Jiangsu Province signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation in the field of commercial aerospace in Haikou City. According to the memorandum of strategic cooperation, the two parties will leverage the unique location, policies, and industrial base advantages of Hainan Province in the field of commercial aerospace launches, and rely on the strong capabilities of Jiangsu Province in areas such as commercial aerospace manufacturing, technology research and development, talent supply, and industrial chain support. This will promote the complementary resources, advantages, and coordinated development of the two provinces, in accordance with national security supervision requirements and market models. The focus will be on the core links of the commercial aerospace industry chain, deepening cooperation in areas such as launch services, equipment manufacturing, technology research and development, talent training, data services, application expansion, and industrial ecology. Both parties will jointly cultivate new productive forces in the commercial aerospace industry, enhance the core competitiveness of the industry, and create a nationally leading and globally influential demonstration zone for the coordinated development of the commercial aerospace industry, to support the high-quality development of the national commercial aerospace industry. At the event, the "Cooperation Agreement between Jiangsu Free Trade Office and Hainan Provincial Committee of Free Trade Port Office" was also signed, proposing to focus on jointly implementing the strategy of enhancing the free trade zone, promoting the orderly connection of policies between the Jiangsu Free Trade Zone and the Hainan Free Trade Port, optimizing resource allocation, and integrating industrial development. The two parties will carry out practical cooperation in areas such as opening up to the outside world, technological innovation, and industrial synergy, to jointly create a new model of high-level cooperation in the free trade experimental zone and port.
