Wang Yi meets with UAE President's Special Envoy for China Affairs Khaldoon

On the 13th, Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Central Foreign Affairs Office, met with Al-Halid, the UAE Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, who was visiting China as a special envoy for Chinese affairs. Wang Yi said that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the China-UAE relationship has maintained a good momentum of development. The visit of Crown Prince Khalid will further enhance mutual trust between China and the UAE and deepen practical cooperation between the two countries. China supports the UAE in safeguarding its national sovereignty, security, and legitimate rights and interests. Blocking the Strait of Hormuz does not serve the common interests of the international community. China is willing to work together with the international community to promote an early return to peace and stability in the Middle East. Halid expressed gratitude for the warm and thoughtful arrangements made by the Chinese side for the visit of Crown Prince Khalid, and expressed confidence that this visit will effectively promote cooperation in various fields between the UAE and China.
