According to the news from Mengzhe Town, Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the joint investigation team issued a report on April 11 regarding the verification and handling of the watermelon transportation transaction dispute reported by the media: Recently, some media published a video reflecting problems with the quality and payment of transportation fees for watermelons transported from Mengzhe Town, Menghai County to Henan. In response to the situation, the Mengzhe Town People's Government promptly conducted investigations. It was verified that the transaction involved Su ordering watermelons through online contact with the agent Yang on the Douyin platform. When problems were discovered upon arrival at the destination, Su was unable to resolve the issue over the phone with Yang and reported to the Mengzhe police station. In response to media reports and the police report, the Mengzhe Town government took the initiative to coordinate and push for a resolution to the issue. Currently, the transportation fee issue for driver Su has been properly resolved; as for the quality of the watermelons, the town government has collaborated with departments including agriculture, transportation, and market supervision to strengthen supervision over the planting, selling, and transportation processes.
