The mainline of the New Yuzhou-Wanzhong High-Speed Railway has completed the construction of all 56 tunnels.
Today, the main control project of the new Chongqing to Wanzhou high-speed railway - the Changlingang tunnel, has been successfully completed. With this, all 56 tunnels of the new Yuyiwan high-speed railway are connected, laying a solid foundation for the timely opening of the entire line. The Changlingang tunnel, which has been completed this time, is located at the junction of Fuling District and Banan District in Chongqing. It is the longest first-class high-risk tunnel on the entire line, designed as a single-hole double-track tunnel with a total length of 13,325 meters. The new Yuyiwan high-speed railway is an important part of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway main channel, including the Beijing-Kunming and Bohai passages, and is also an important supplement to the high-speed railway along the Yangtze River. The main line of the railway is 251 kilometers long, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
