The second quarter train schedule for the Yangtze River Delta region railway will be implemented starting from today.

Starting today, the Yangtze River Delta railway will implement the train operation plan for the second quarter of 2026. After the adjustment, the number of passenger and freight trains will reach 1433.5 pairs and 1380.5 pairs, respectively, both of which are historical peak values. New passenger routes include Shanghai Hongqiao to Lanxi East, and 11 new freight trains will be added, covering 23 provinces with cross-bureau trains. The new plan focuses on increasing the capacity of the Ningbo-Qidong and Quzhou-Nanjing railways, adding textile trains and intermodal trains, with an estimated annual increase in transportation capacity of 910,000 tons. The number of sea-rail intermodal trains will increase to 119.
