According to a regulatory document and news sources, the owner of the American Broadcasting Company, Nexstar Media Group, has begun efforts to limit the influence of national television networks such as ABC, NBC, and CBS through its affiliated television stations. The report also stated that the media company has started to prevent its stations from airing segments produced by national TV networks in local news programs and has requested them to use content from its NewsNation cable channel.
