The country director of the United Nations World Food Programme in Lebanon, Alison Oman Ravi, expressed on the 10th that due to regional conflicts causing supply difficulties, Lebanon may face a severe food security crisis. Ravi stated in an interview with the Australian Special Broadcasting Service that conflicts in the Middle East have led to soaring fuel and food prices in Lebanon, increasing the living costs for local families. "Vegetable prices have risen by nearly 20%. In just the past month, the price of bread has increased by 17%. This trend is unbearable for those struggling to make ends meet." Ravi noted that the situation in Lebanon has escalated for a month, with over a million displaced people. The World Food Programme continues to closely monitor the situation, working together with the Lebanese government and partners to address the food needs of the Lebanese people.
