National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau: Continuously deepen the crackdown on illegal mining activities, strengthen the prevention of mine safety risks during the flood season.
It was learned from the press conference of the National Mine Safety Supervision Bureau held today that the bureau has organized consultation meetings with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Natural Resources, and five other departments in the first quarter. The bureau is continuing to deepen the crackdown on illegal mining activities, supervise and urge regions that have not completed their remediation tasks to fulfill their responsibilities, forming a closed loop of remediation work. The number of regions that have not completed their sealing tasks has decreased from 14 to 5. At the same time, the bureau is strengthening mine safety risk prevention during the flood season, deploying flood control measures in advance, enhancing ventilation management during the backwind season in mines, strictly implementing major disaster risk prevention and control measures for gas, water damage, fire, roof fall, and ground pressure, and preventing accidents caused by "peach blossom water," meltwater floods, and freeze-thaw landslides in open-pit mines.
