"New Fed Communications Agency" Nick Timiraos: The minutes of the Fed meeting show that "the vast majority" of officials believe that the slowdown in inflation may be slower than expected, mainly due to three overlapping concerns: the time it takes for the impact of tariffs on commodity prices to fade, the pass-through of oil prices to core inflation, and years of inflation above target levels have made inflation expectations more susceptible to new shocks.
