National Energy Administration: There have been occurrences of violations of market rules and disruptions of market order. Efforts are being continuously made to improve rule systems, enforce strict regulation, and strengthen risk prevention and control.

The State Energy Administration held the first energy regulation working meeting for 2026 in Beijing on April 8th. The meeting emphasized that the preliminary goal of the construction of a unified national electricity market has been completed, but there are still instances of violations of market rules and disruptions of market order. It is necessary to further adhere to the guidance of addressing problems and goals, continue to improve rules and regulations, strictly enforce regulations, strengthen risk prevention and control, target key issues, and promote the quality upgrade of the construction of a unified national electricity market.
