On April 8th, Alibaba Group CEO Wu Yongming released an internal memo announcing adjustments to AI-related organizations to accelerate AI development. The most important adjustments include: first, Alibaba Group established a technology committee, with Wu Yongming serving as chairman and members including Zhou Jingren, Wu Zeming, and Li Feifei; second, the DAMO Academy was upgraded to the DAMO Large Models Business Unit.
