Independently designed and constructed, China's first 180,000 cubic meters liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier has been completed.
Today, the first 180,000 cubic meters liquefied natural gas carrier designed and constructed independently by our country was successfully completed in Nantong, Jiangsu, reaching delivery conditions, marking a new force in the high value-added shipbuilding field in our country. The 180,000 cubic meters liquefied natural gas carrier completed today was built by the CMHI Haimen Base, with a total length of 298.8 meters and a beam of 48 meters. It adopts a dual-fuel low-speed propulsion system, with advantages such as low evaporation rate and high environmental performance, marking a major breakthrough in the construction of large clean energy ships by Chinese shipbuilding companies. It is also currently the largest liquefied natural gas carrier completed in our country.
