Deloitte: Hong Kong raised HK $109.9 billion in new stock offerings in the first quarter, ranking first in the world.
On April 8, according to Deloitte's statistics, 40 new stocks were listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the first quarter of 2026, raising a total of HK$109.9 billion, the highest in the world. This represents a 167% increase in the number of new stocks and a 504% increase in total financing compared to the same period last year, when there were 15 new stocks raising HK$18.2 billion. Among them, 3 large-cap new stocks and 8 mid-cap new stocks accounted for nearly 70% of the total financing for new stocks in the first quarter. In addition, the second highest total fundraising in the first quarter globally was on the Nasdaq, with the New York Stock Exchange ranking third.
