New York crude oil futures once plummeted more than 22%.

After the United States and Iran announced their agreement to a temporary ceasefire, the price of crude oil futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange plummeted, falling from a high of nearly $118 to less than $92, a drop of over 22%. Within one hour, the drop exceeded 15%. The price has since gradually rebounded to nearly $100.
