Russian and UAE foreign ministers call for an end to hostile actions in the Persian Gulf region.
According to a message released on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov had a phone call with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah, on the 7th. They exchanged views on the continuing deterioration of the military and political situation in the Persian Gulf region, and both sides called for an immediate halt to hostile actions in the region. They pointed out that the hostile actions in the Persian Gulf region have led to casualties and serious damage to important civilian infrastructure. Countries in the region that are not directly involved in armed conflicts have also suffered these losses. Both sides reiterated their commitment to maintaining close diplomatic coordination in order to fully respect the legitimate interests of all countries in the Persian Gulf region and peacefully resolve the Middle East crisis within the framework of international law.
