Bezos' new laboratory reportedly poached the co-founder of xAI from OpenAI.

On April 7th, it was reported that a company owned by Bezos poached a co-founder of xAI from OpenAI. Kael Kosick has joined Bezos' new artificial intelligence company, the "Prometheus Project". Kosick was one of the co-founders of xAI along with Musk. Before returning to his former company OpenAI in 2024, he was responsible for the infrastructure team behind xAI's Colossus supercomputer. Kosick will continue to work on AI infrastructure projects at "Prometheus".
