There are market rumors that several international beauty brands including La Prairie, Lancme, Armani, and Shu Uemura will increase their prices in the Chinese market in April. In response to this, Beiersdorf, the parent company of La Prairie, told Fashion Interface that they are currently only adjusting prices for some products, with no uniform increase. Beiersdorf stated that La Prairie products are all imported, and when setting the suggested retail prices, they need to consider multiple factors from a global perspective, including raw material costs, changes in the supply chain, exchange rate fluctuations, and the overall price system of the industry. They also emphasized that the adjustment of luxury skincare product prices is not an individual brand's action, but a regular industry practice. Fashion Interface also sought confirmation from L'Oral Group, the parent company of Lancme and Armani, regarding the aforementioned price increase rumors, but as of the time of publication, they have not received a response. Currently, the related brands have only issued a unified price adjustment notice for Kansai International Airport in Japan, with the price increase effective from April 1st. There is currently no public information indicating that the related brands will increase prices in the Chinese market.
