The high-speed rail connecting Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong has reached record levels of cross-border northbound passengers.

According to the railway department in Shenzhen, on April 3rd, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail experienced a peak in Hong Kong residents traveling north. On that day, there were 239 cross-border passenger trains, transporting a total of 119,000 cross-border passengers. Among them, the flow of passengers from Hong Kong to mainland China reached 86,000, setting a new record. From April 3rd to 7th, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail is expected to transport more than 600,000 cross-border passengers, a 10.6% increase compared to the previous year, demonstrating a strong momentum in cross-border mobility.
