The Chinese side calls on the United Nations to reform and give full consideration to the concerns of developing countries.

Chinese Permanent Deputy Representative to the United Nations Sun Lei spoke at the UN General Assembly "UN 80th Anniversary Reform Initiative" briefing on the 6th, expressing support for the statement made by the representative of Uruguay on behalf of the "Group of 77 and China". Sun Lei hopes that the reform will fully consider the concerns of developing countries, truly consolidate the consensus of member states, reflect the collective will of all member states, and make the reform results stand the test of history. Sun Lei stated that the current progress of UN80 reform is steady and has achieved many incremental advancements. China looks forward to all member states and the Secretariat upholding the original intention of reform, focusing on action orientation, implementing existing results, and promoting reform in an inclusive and transparent manner.
