According to reports, two tankers carrying Qatari liquefied natural gas seem to have abandoned their plans to sail out of the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz - this has also resulted in the delay of the first batch of export plans to buyers outside the Gulf since the current conflict erupted. Ship tracking data shows that the Al Duhail and Rasheeda loaded liquefied natural gas at Qatar's export terminal in late February, had previously sailed east towards waters near Oman's strait, and then turned around and sailed away from the Strait of Hormuz.
